“A Piuma” means feather in Corsican, and the name reflects the idea of the “guide’s step”. A light, sure step that seems to skim the ground without ever tiring. This step becomes benevolent when path rhymes with scree. This is very often the case on the island, where the difficulties of the terrain quickly become apparent. The island’s mountains are always surprising, with their very alpine nature, and have discouraged many, as the many setbacks suffered on the now-famous GR20 have shown.
